Summer Bible Study

Cost: Registration is free. Book will be provided at first meeting.

Sermon on the Mount

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus tells us how to live and engage in today’s complex world as dual citizens – citizens of this world and citizens of His kingdom. The Sermon on the Mount tackles issues like when it is okay to join this earthly culture, when and how we should compromise as peacemakers, and when we should stand firm and cling to the teaching of Jesus to be different. This four week study will cover the Beatitudes and Living as Salt and Light.

Register here.

Jude | A precept study

When: Wednesdays, May 31-July 19; 9:30-11:30am

Where: Bee Cave Lower Level of A | The Fort

Cost: Registration is free.

Problems within the church prompted Jude to preach a strong message about God's judgment of sin. Did you get the message? Learn more about the day of judgment in this timely study. Weekly homework (including a session on “how to study the Bible” for first-timers), group discussion, and teaching. Note: No meeting on June 7 and July 5.

  • Laura Benton

    Laura Benton

Laura was born and raised in the sunny state of CALIFORNIA!!! She grew up in Southern California, where she enjoyed her summers at the beach, and then moved to Northern California, where she attended college at San Jose State. She earned her degree in Child and Adolescent Development with a minor in Mathematics, but let’s be honest; she mostly went to school to play water polo. Laura, her husband, Dan, and her three girls, Cassidy, Libby, and Emily, made the trek out to Austin in August 2018. It is Laura’s great joy to have fun serving people, which is what she is doing as a ministry assistant for Embrace and Women's Ministries. While she may never get used to the weather in Texas, Laura still enjoys playing water polo, being silly with her kids, and finding any reason to go on an adventure!
