Q4 2023

Here’s a look at some of the headway we made in Q4 2023:

  • The architect will be creating a wonderful campus that will feel like the Texas Hill Country while also using some of the design themes from our Bee Cave and Southwest campuses.

  • Our architect is designing a playground that will be centrally located in the courtyard for families to enjoy.

  • The team of professionals is also working on providing ample parking and will create multiple walking paths and areas where golf carts can be used to transport people.

  • We have explored multiple driveway options with TxDOT, Hays County, and neighbors so cars can enter and exit as efficiently and safely as possible.

  • We submitted our drawings to general contractors to get estimates for the project.

  • We began a traffic study to confirm safety at entrances based on campus capacity.

  • We completed a programming exercise to understand the space requirements for each of our ministries.

  • We finished the schematic design phase of the process, and we are now heading into the design development phase.

  • Our civil engineer has studied all of the local utilities and has produced a report showing the options we have to serve the campus.

  • Greg Hill

    Greg Hill

As an Austin native, Greg loves this place and has a unique perspective and intuitive understanding of its history, people, and needs. He and his wife, Janie, along with a couple of friends, started Southwest Hills Community Church in 1998 with a vision to see the southwest Austin area transformed by the grace and truth of the gospel. That vision entered a new and vibrant phase when SHCC merged with Austin Ridge Bible Church to become Austin Ridge Southwest – our church's first satellite campus. Greg, along his wife, Janie, now lives in Dripping Springs and loves serving as campus pastor in the DS community. Greg and Janie enjoy hiking, fly-fishing, college football, and spending time with their kids and grandkids.

  • Lambert Boyd

    Lambert Boyd

Lambert was born and raised in Houston and moved to Austin to attend UT. While there, he met his wife, Sarah, on a blind date. She is his best friend and, for sure, his better half. God has blessed Lambert and Sarah with a beautiful son and daughter, Luke and Lucy. Lambert loves hanging out with family, doing anything outside (cycling, swimming, fishing, hunting), and watching college football. After spending many years in the corporate sector, Lambert is excited to be working in ministry full time and being able to serve at Austin Ridge. He feels blessed to be part of all God is doing at Austin Ridge.
