SEVEN TIPS for HOW TO PRAYer WALK
  1. Pray what you Read - Thank God for His mind and heart, accurately and faithfully revealed in Scripture
  2. Pray what you Hear - Listen carefully to what God is telling you; praise Him for the privilege of speaking to Him, being heard by Him, entering into His presence, and listening to Him in personal intimacy through His Word and Spirit
  3. Pray what you See - Neighborhoods, families (old and young, complete family units, single parents), government buildings, hospitals and community centers. Thank God for His order in this world through truth, authority, love, and compassion in family and community
  4. Pray what you Feel - Compassion, sadness, a desire to help the under-resourced, broken, fragile, vulnerable, and immigrant communities; thank God for His character revealed in the humility of poverty
  5. Pray what you Can't Do (what only God can do) - Salvation from sin, sanctification from sin, satisfaction in Jesus alone; thank God for the gospel, the power of God and the Holy Spirit - that God is Teacher and Transformer and Comforter.
  6. Pray what you Love and Hate - His righteousness that you love, and your personal sin that you hate; thank God alone for who He is: for His person and nothing more. Just Him. Thank Him for loving you and letting you love Him back. Ask Him to give you desire to know Him, understand Him, and love Him more. Thank God for His love. Confess any hate and resentment. Ask God to give you a hate for your personal sin. Confess it and ask for forgiveness, cleansing, freedom from sin, and permanent joy in the truth of the Gospel.
