A Guide to Giving Securities

Gifts of marketable securities are an excellent way to make a contribution to the church while enjoying significant tax benefits. Please consult your tax advisor for specific advice on donating securities. If you would like to support Austin Ridge Bible Church with your gift of stock or other securities, please follow these simple guidelines.

ADVISE AUSTIN RIDGE BIBLE CHURCH OF THE GIFT:

Please contact giving@austinridge.org with the designation of your gift (how you want your gift to be used: General Fund or NEXT Fund), the number of shares, and the identity of the security. We prefer to receive this notice either by email or by fax to (512) 669-7805. To ensure efficient processing of the gift, it is very important to provide the information above. Please do not rely on your broker or wire transfer service to provide us with this information.

IF YOUR SHARES ARE HELD IN AN ACCOUNT:

Ask your broker to make an electronic transfer of the shares to Austin Ridge Bible Church's Charles Schwab account #6090-2360. The DTC number is 0164, and it is needed if the security is currently in an account with a company other than Charles Schwab. Our brokerage account at Charles Schwab is in the name of “Westlake Bible Church dba Austin Ridge Bible Church.” Once the securities are transferred into Austin Ridge Bible Church's account, we will receive notification of the transfer, and a receipt will be sent to you. The effective date of the gift for this method is the date the shares are placed into our account. Please contact giving@austinridge.org or call (512) 263-7701 to advise us that the gift has been made.

IF YOU HOLD THE CERTIFICATE FOR YOUR SHARES:

Please contact giving@austinridge.org with specific instructions to transfer shares held in certificate form.
